Obituary for Alejandrina Martinez
Alejandrina Reyes Martinez, known as “Doña Leja” to her family was born on August 9, 1931 in Mexico. She passed at the age of 89, on December 16, 2020. Alejandrina enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stich, shopping, and she loved eating at places, especially Wing Stop, CiCi’s, Chick-fil-a and Wendy’s (chili). She also enjoyed music from Jenny Rivera and Selena. She loved being outside attending to her plants. Alejandrina was a loving woman who had a caring heart. It showed throughout her community, because of the way she would always stop what she was doing to lend a hand helping others, especially with medical stuff. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was blessed with the opportunity to be a housewife and raise her family. She was a loveable, happy, conservative woman who was adored by so many. Alejandrina laugh and storytelling will be missed and forever remembered.
Alejandrina is survived by her 8 children, Benjamin Martinez and wife Ana Maria, Pablo, Martinez and wife Dorothy, Nicholas Martinez and wife Elvia, Juan Martinez and wife Virginia, Guillermo Martinez and wife Rita, Lucina Colin and husband Samuel, Gabriela Rodriguez and husband Lorenzo, Josefina Gomez and husband Florencio. She also leaves behind 46 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Antonio Reyes, Cosme Reyes; sister, Maria Gumersinda Reyes and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, Pablo Martinez and parents, Andrea Ceniseros and Pedro Reyes.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7PM, on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 AM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 West Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.

Alejandrina es sobrevivida por sus 8 hijos, Benjamín Martínez y su esposa Ana María, Pablo, Martínez y su esposa Dorothy, Nicolás Martínez y su esposa Elvia, Juan Martínez y su esposa Virginia, Guillermo Martínez y su esposa Rita, Lucina Colin y su esposo Samuel, Gabriela Rodríguez y su esposo Lorenzo, Josefina Gómez y su esposo Florencio. También deja atrás a 46 nietos, 61 bisnietos, 10 bisnietos; 2 hermanos, Antonio Reyes, Cosme Reyes; hermana, María Gumersinda Reyes y numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos.
Ella es precedida en la muerte por su devoto esposo de 69 años, Pablo Martínez y sus padres, Andrea Ceniseros y Pedro Reyes.
