Obituary for Alice Patak Tacker

Alice Patak Tacker, loving and devoted mother, grandmother (NaNe), and great-grandmother, entered the Lord's kingdom on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 82. She was the most selfless and giving woman, and her family was her life. She showered her family with love and was always doing something to express her love and support.

Alice was born in Ennis, Texas on May 27, 1940, to Adolph and Louise (Horak) Patak, one of ten children. She loved our Holy Lord Jesus Christ and would always let you know how great God is and how much He had blessed her. She prayed earnestly for her family, and always asked how she could help, and she would do anything for her family that she so greatly adored.

She was very proud of her Czech heritage and loved listening and dancing to Czech music. When you entered her home or got in her car, you were almost certain to hear her Czech music playing. One of her greatest joys was attending her Czech family events and getting to dance with her brothers, sisters, other family members, or anyone else she could get out on the dance floor.

She was an extremely loyal and dedicated employee working full-time in accounts payable/receivable up until the age of 81. She also took great pride in her work attendance, and amazingly, at one point in her career, only taking 2 sick days over a 20+ year period.

Alice was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dee Ann Tacker; her parents, Adolph and Louise (Horak) Patak; sisters, Victoria Watson and Ruphine Patak; brothers, Adolph Patak and Alphonse Patak.

She is survived by her three sons, Matthew Tacker, Clete Tacker, and Blake Tacker and wife Pennie; two brothers, Albert Patak and Leo Patak; three sisters, Elizabeth Dixon, Helen Gajdica and husband Laddie, and Clara Walters; grandchildren, Blaine Tacker, Loren Tacker, Madison Bowden and husband Kane, Brock Tacker, Cal Tacker and wife Ayleen, Cade Tacker, Mark Tacker and wife Katie, and Emory Tacker; and two great-grandchildren, Roman and Margo.

Funeral service will be at 12 pm, Wednesday, December 28th at Boze-Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home, 800 S Kaufman St, Ennis, TX 75119. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 300 S Jeter Dr, Ennis, TX 75119.

Serving as pallbearers will be her sons, Matthew Tacker, Clete Tacker, and Blake Tacker; grandsons, Brock Tacker, Cal Tacker, Cade Tacker, and Mark Tacker.
