Obituary for Alicia Solis Aguilar

Our beloved, Alicia Solis Aguilar, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the age of 82 years.

Alicia was survived by her children, Michael Aguilar (Idalia), Debra Gonzales (Rudy) and Donna Gonzales; two granddaughters, Leslie Aguilar and Ashley Aguilar and five grandsons, Rudy Gonzales (Carmen), Randy Gonzales (Priscilla), Roland Gonzales (Elizabeth) Jacob Gonzales (Adriana) and Joshua Gonzales (Jessica) as well as 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Aguilar, her son, Ernest Aguilar, son in law, Steven Gonzales and her parents.

Born on March 12, 1939 she grew up as the youngest of twelve children to Maria Garza and Augustine Solis.

Alicia was called by the Lord to do The Great Commission, in Matthew 28:19-20, “make disciples of all the nations.” She lived to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through her music and missionary ministry. She went where the Lord called her, leading her throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America and South America. She boldly declared how much the Lord had done for her.

Luke 8:39
“Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.”

Her rich and bold testimonies of what God had done for her and the miracles she witnessed throughout her travels would build your confidence and self esteem as reminders of who you are in Christ.

To her family she was known as “Grama”. She spoiled all her grandchildren and her house was where they knew they could gather to enjoy all sort of sweets and treats. She made it a daily priority to pray and Bless each member of her family by name and each according to their need.

All will miss her for her enthusiasm and boldness in speaking the Word of God, beautiful voice, joyful smile, words of encouragement and her endearing sense of humor.
Alicia will live on through the wonderful memories we all shared with her. She will forever be in our hearts.
