Annie Marie Nutt, age 79, of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Baylor Scott and White, Waxahachie. Marie was born October 12, 1940 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Lewis R. and Lena Ruth (Baker) Maiden. She was one of nineteen children. She grew up in a holler in the mountains of Frakes, Kentucky where her daddy was a coal miner. Marie was Native American and a member of the Cherokee Nation. She loved playing the Lotto, scratching bingo tickets and watching NCIS, Golden Girls and Reba, but most of all she loved her family. Marie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Marie is survived by her children, Andy Nutt and wife Kathy, Frances Cummings and husband Terry, Kenny Nutt, Brenda Horton and husband David, Jimmy Nutt, Sr. and wife Carol and Linda Lamb; grandchildren, Amanda Staggs, Drew Nutt, Elizabeth Ross, Christie Allen, Joshua Etheridge, Tristan Jabre, Paul Wenbourne, John Prather, Jr., Brandi Rawls, Trudy Ware, Tabitha Cline, Brandy Mizell, Jimmy Nutt, Jr., Miranda Tillman, Kris Lamb and Shaena Lance; 33 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; 3 great-great grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers, David, Wilburn and four sisters, Brenda, Flora, Anna and Betty and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 12 siblings.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM Friday, June 19, 2020 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Nutt, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Nutt, Jr., John Prather, Jr., Kenny Nutt, Kennon Rawls, Kris Lamb and David Horton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 West Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.
