Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Aguilar

Anthony “Tony” Aguilar, born February 3, in 1929 was called home to our Lord on September 24, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas. Tony was born in Omaha, Nebraska and ultimately moved to Lancaster, Texas in 1964 with his wife and children.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Alicia Aguilar, son Michael Aguilar, daughter-in-law Luz Aguilar, daughter Debra Gonzales, son-in-law Rudy Gonzales and daughter Donna Gonzales. Grandchildren; Rudy Gonzales, Randy Gonzales, Roland Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales, Josh Gonzales, Leslie Aguilar, Ashely Aguilar and 15 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Ernest Aguilar and son-in-law Steven Gonzales.

Tony was a dedicated Supervisor for Dallas Housing Authority and retired after 27 years of exemplary service. After retirement, he dedicated most of his time growing he and his wife’s Spanish Gospel Singing Ministry throughout America and Latin America. Tony loved all of his family and enjoyed spending time caring for his children and many grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He has made such a significant impact in all our lives and we take solace in knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior.

His master said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master”
