Obituary for Aurora Galvin Quintero

Aurora Galvan Quintero was born December 12, 1935 in Sinton, Texas. She entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on January 15, 2023. Known to those who loved her most as Grandma Pong, Aurora was known for her beautiful giving heart. She is remembered as loving and always willing to help others.

She attended beauty school, making her long term career as a hairdresser. The mother of seven children: Diana, Norine, Sylvia, Virginia, Robe, Andy and Jacquie – Aurora was an extremely hard worker, often holding down three jobs to care for her family. She also gave back to her community, volunteering at the Senior Citizens Facilities.

Aurora often found peace near the water and looked forward to traveling to the beach or spending time at a lake. She enjoyed Spanish and Christian music – Vicente Fernandez, Joel Osteen, country singers and the Ava Maira. She was a devote Catholic with a deep, strong faith.

She is preceded in death by her children Diana Martinez, Virginia Villarreal, Robe Villarreal, and Andres (Andy) Villarreal.

Aurora is survived by her daughters Jacquie Snelders of Ennis, Texas and Sylvia Wood and Norine Sanchez of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation for Aurora will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:00am until 11:00am with a Rosary at 10:30am at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Ennis, Texas.
