She was the oldest of nine children born to Silvie Ingels Sibila and James D. Martin, Sr. She graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel Academy in Dallas, TX.

After working for several years as a secretary at Bishop Dunne High School, she pursued a career in the banking industry, managing branch offices for over 40 years with Bank of America and BBVA Compass Bank. She retired from BBVA Compass Bank in Ennis, TX in 2012.

Bonnie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. After her mother died, Bonnie became the matriarch of the Martin family, employing her diplomatic skills as the go-to person for her siblings and extended family. She always offered words of support and help in any way she could.

Bonnie was married to William A. “Bill” Turner for over thirty years. They enjoyed traveling, going to Texas Rangers games, playing golf, hiking, observing wildlife, and gardening together.

Bonnie joins her parents, her sister Betty, and her grandson Greg Mills in heaven.

Her love, guidance, and spirited nature will be deeply missed by those who mourn her loss: her husband, Bill; daughters: Karen Watson (David), Debbie Carpenter, Lori Munoz (Larry); grandchildren: Nick, Justin, Traci, Christi, Haley, Kelsey; and great grandchildren: Natalie, Weston, Blayne, Marie, Payton, Kyler, Luke, and Kru; siblings: Judy, Diana, Jimmy, Peggy, Pam, Penny, and Donny; and 54 nieces and nephews.
