Obituary for Brenda Chapman

“Losing a loved one is never easy but losing someone who loves you is even more difficult.” On Friday, May 8, 2020 Brenda Dee Chapman gained her Angel wings and is reunited with many loved ones in Heaven. Brenda was born to Charlie Ray and Mandline Chapman on July 15, 1968. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Ellis county growing up in Forreston before moving to Waxahachie. Brenda never met a stranger and always had a good story to tell. As a young adult, she began her career as a hairdresser. She worked hard raising her two boys on her own and bought a home in Maypearl. She loved being outdoors enjoying the sun and being with family and friends. Brenda cherished every client who sat in her chair always making time for those who needed her. Over the years, Brenda developed a close relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ and her church family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. She cared so deeply for her family and friends doing all she could for them if they were ever in need. She was a second mother to all her son's friends and anyone she came in contact with. She was whoever you needed her to be in the time she met you and her relationships always grew to be family. She wouldn't want us to be sad but to remember all the great memories and time spent with her. She was an angel here on earth, who had a selfless love for everyone. It gives the family great comfort to know that she is in heaven watching over all the ones she loved so very much. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by so many.

Brenda joins in Heaven her parents; her oldest son, Christerpher Ray Chapman, one brother, “Sonny” Chapman; two sisters, Cheryl Tadlock and Cynthia Tindell; and nephews Bobby Lee Duke and Bentley Haze Castellanos.

Brenda will continue to watch over her son, Casey Gruben; nephews, Gary Tadlock, Russell Tindell, and Nicolas Sauceda; nieces, Tara Tindell, Tabetha Chapman, Teri Tindell, Tracie Tindell, Brittany Doshier, Summer Sauceda, and Autumn Sauceda; brother-in-law, Rusty Tindell; Godmother, Lin McNamara; best friends, Amy Salazar, MaryAnne Martinez, Gary Green, Gail Maddox and Michelle Aguilar; close friends, Nita O’Daniel, the Duke family, LaSoya family and numerous other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 12-2 PM, with a Rosary at 1 PM officiated by Marie Beck at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2 PM on May 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 W. Main St., Waxahachie, Texas 75165. (972)937-2211
