Obituary for Charles Patrick ""Chuck"" Courtot Jr.

Charles P. “Chuck” Courtot, Jr. passed away on April 26, 2020. He was born on January 15, 1938 in Willoughby, Ohio to his parents, Margaret (Donahue) and Charles Patrick Courtot, Sr. In January of 1967, Chuck married the love of his life, Doris Ruth Grover. He worked as an electrician, working on carnival rides for many years. Chuck would travel around with his wife by his side up until her passing, as he worked for many different carnivals. He enjoyed fishing with Doris, collecting tools and following sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns. Chuck was a member of the Lone Star Showman’s Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree. Chuck will be missed and forever remembered by his family as well as his carnival family.

Chuck is survived by sisters, Rosemary (Paul, deceased) Boros of Concord, Ohio; Jeanine (Bill, deceased) Jacquemain of Mentor, Ohio; Carol (Stan) Kozar of Mentor, Ohio; Mary Beth (Paul) Aced of Carson City, Nevada; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris; parents Charles P., Sr. and Margaret Courtot; brother, Timothy Courtot; sisters and brothers-in law, Peggy and Harry Cain, Patricia and Hal Chubb; and countless canine friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
