Curtis Lee Tignor, born to Troy and Mary Frances Tignor on October 9th, 1967, in El Campo, Texas passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 22, 2022, in Rice, Texas. To his family and friends, he was known as “Mutt”. He was very handy and a master of all trades. Curtis enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, playing the piano and guitar. He was a major fan of the Avatar film and listened to all Rock music, especially the classics like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osborne, Eagles, and Def Leppard with Hotel California being one of his favorite songs. Curtis was a very respectable, direct, and resilient man. He always knew how to make people laugh and deeply loved his family and friends. Spending time with the people he cared for was his priority. His loving, stubborn, caring, and humorous spirit will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
Curtis is preceded in death by his father Troy L. Tignor and his brother Marvin E. Tignor Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charole Tignor, his mother Mary F. Tignor, his sister Mary L. Tignor and brother-in-law George Reynolds, his four sons Joe Perez, Tim Barnard, Bobby Barnard, and Sonny Perez, his daughter Sara Crider, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren as well as five nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday December 28, 2022, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm on Thursday December 29, 2022, also at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.
