Obituary for Danny Frank Manley

Danny Frank Manley, age 64, departed on May 20, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on May 30, 1955 in Chandler, Arizona to his parents, Joyce (Martin) and Franklin Manley. His mother says he was a very intelligent and inquisitive child. He was the oldest of three children and always looked out for his siblings. Danny married his high school sweetheart, Denise at age 17 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire while they were still in high school. They began their family two years later with their first-born son, Bryan and followed by their second son, Shawn. Danny and his wife joined a Foster Care program and fostered a total of three children beginning with Daniel. Daniel was a special needs child that passed away in his sleep after living a year with a very loving family. Danny spent 37 years working in the Engineering/News departments at WFAA TV Channel 8 in Dallas, Texas. He enjoyed basketball, golfing, walking and being at home in his favorite chair watching TV He loved rock music of the 70’s, working out in the gym and going on cruises. He had a love for Ketchup!!!!! He would put it on almost everything he ate. Danny was a loving, generous, family man, as well as a good friend to so many. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Danny “Dan the Man” will be missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Denise Manley; children, Bryan Manley and wife Julie, Shawn Manley and wife Amy Sue; parents, Joyce Ann Manley and Franklin Manley; sister, Michele Tambunga and husband Irineo; brother, Daryl Manley and wife Tracey; grandchildren, Ethan, Rebekah, Jett and Jude; as well as numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by Daniel, his beloved foster child.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
