David Paul Nunn Sr. joined his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2023. He entered into this world October 19, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. David was a passionate man of God with a great sense of humor who loved his family fiercely and never knew a stranger. He devoted his life to the ministry as a Pastor and Evangelist with the Assemblies of God.

A graduate of David W. Carter High School, he grew up predominantly in Oak Cliff and was a rambunctious, rowdy, and funny child. On March 2, 1974, David married Patti Jackson and the couple shared five children – Katherine, Erika, Jacob, David and Caleb – and 45 love filled years together. He was quick with humor, always having a “Dad Joke” to share; and could often be found watching his favorite sports teams play. His favorite place to be was in the pulpit, preaching the word of God. For a time, he also served as Police Chaplain in Copperas Cove, Texas.

David will be remembered for his kindhearted, loving nature; his humor and quick wit; his devotion to God; and steadfast love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents David O. Nunn and Leona Nunn; sister Becky Tuttle; wife Patti Nunn; and son David Paul Nunn Jr.

David is survived by his sister Naomi Munkley, brother-in-law Stuart Munkley and Lonnie Tuttle; brother Tommy Nunn; sister-in-law Rebecca Nunn; daughters Katherine Nunn, Erika and husband Wil; sons Jacob Nunn and wife Lindsey, Caleb Nunn and girlfriend Kenzie; grandchildren Arabella Mertz and Nico Nunn; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Services to honor the life of David Nunn will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:00 am at First Assembly of God in Waxahachie, Texas.
