Donna Kay Gillentine Hovis, 65, passed away on May 21, 2023 peacefully in her sleep. She was born on February 3, 1958 to Bob and Bobbie Gillentine; she married her soulmate, Douglas Franklin Hovis on January 9, 1984 in Dallas. She was employed by General Motors Auto Corp. and had previously owned and operated DND Enterprises with husband Douglas. They always worked hard to care for their family. She enjoyed working on the farm with her husband caring for animals and loved her grandchildren Payton Arciba, Zoe Hovis & Lundyn Hovis.

Donna is survived by her sister, Kristine Linda Clark and husband Tim Clark., son, Richie Franklin Hovis,and daughter-in-law Maria Elisabeth Hernandez, sister-in-law Pam Gillentine, all of Ennis. Mother-in-law Cynthia Fowler, sister-in-law Cynthia Elaine Truex both of Cleburne, her favorite dog, Swagger along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas Franklin Hovis, father, Bob Gillentine, mother, Bobbie Pierce Gillentine Pack, sister Janice Gillentine Wuebbles, brothers Randy Gillentine and Danny Gillentine.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Boze-Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home 800 S Kaufman St, Ennis, TX 75119.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 3:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Park 5400 State Hwy 31 W, Corsicana, TX 75110
