Obituary for Dorothy Bell Crim (Christopher)

Dorothy Crim, “Chris” as she was known by to her friends, was born in Beaumont, Texas on the 6th of February 1925. She passed away peacefully on the 29th of February 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Chris proudly served in the United States Army in World War II. She was honorably discharged in 1946 and continued her life-long service to her country as a Federal Civil Servant. She retired with 32 years of service from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and was awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award.

After retirement, Chris moved to Alabama and enjoyed fishing, participating in the local community theatre, volunteer work and crocheting.

She is survived by many friends including Barbara Fobes, Waxahachie, TX; Christine and Kirby Erickson, Waxahachie, TX; Matthew, Michelle, Hannah, Caleb and Julia Erickson, Blacksburg, VA; Timothy and Alexandra Erickson, Katy, TX; Stephen, Taylor and Joseph Erickson, Imperial, CA; Daniel Erickson, Fort Worth, TX; Jean Libey, Pensacola, FL; sisters, Vianney Buckley, PBVM, San Bruno, CA and Margaret Harte, PBVM, Robertsdale, AL.

Burial will be at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors at 2:15 PM on the 11th of March 2020.
