Preceding her in death were 5 brothers and 4 sisters; her husband, Nick Petty; one granddaughter, Tonya Spears and a son-in-law, Ward Casey. She is survived by her 6 children, Evelyn Luttrall & husband Floyd of Waxahachie, Walt Petty and wife Mallory of Maypearl, Karon Casey of Springtown, Nicki Veltman of Maypearl, Rev. Jimmy Petty and wife Nancy of Teague and Terry Petty of Maypearl; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Nick and Modelle moved from Arkansas to Texas in 1947 where Nick found work on the ND (Nelson Dunn) Ranch. They were married 52 years.

Modelle was an active member of the Maypearl First Baptist Church for 65 years and taught Sunday School Class for 28 years. She was President of the PTA for one year and did not work outside the home until her youngest child was a senior in high school. She then went to work for K. Wolens Dept. store where she retired after 17 years. She was a doting, wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. During her life, she was a faithful, unwavering Christian lady. She provided an incredible blueprint for her family to follow. She enjoyed music of any kind; but especially singing with and listening to her 3 sons' music. Many times, she joined in by playing the harmonica with them.

She will be sorely missed and forever remembered.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a service directly following at the First Baptist Church Maypearl with Pastor Tony Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery. Masks are required at both services.
