Obituary for Evelyn Ann Pettit
On January 15, 2023, Evelyn Ann Pettit passed away in Italy, Texas. The beloved mother of Brenda Brooks, Allan Pettit and Steven Pettit; loving sister to Kathleen Clarkson Nickel, James Clarkson; cherished aunt to Tracy Gonzalez, devoted grandmother to Cole Pettit and Ryan Pettit and adored great aunt to Taylor Gonzalez. She will be missed dearly by all.
Ann will forever live on in our hearts as a kind, generous, strong-willed and independent woman with an infectious laugh and love of life. She found great joy in her family, her dog Emme, and her friends. She was an avid gardener and preserver and happily shared what she grew. She took great pride in hard work and a job well done. Ann loved to travel and had seen much of the U.S. and had traveled abroad. She was known to spend a little time in casinos and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, David C. Clarkson and Edith Clarkson. She was the second of four children, born July 14, 1940 in Alpine, Texas, and grew up in Paris, TX. Ann graduated from Paris High School and attended Paris Junior College. She lived in Garland for over forty five years before moving to Waxahachie where she lived for the last five years. Ann was a warehouse manager at Cheerleading Company for many years before retiring in 2015.

A Service to honor Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10 A.M. at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie.
