Obituary for Evelyn Roebuck

Evelyn Marie Roebuck, age 85, of Waxahachie, passed away October 2, 2003 in Crockett, Texas. She was born July 7, 1918 in Cleburne, Texas to Ben and Sallie (Gordon) Lockett. Evelyn was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie. She was also very active in the Order of the Eastern Star and the Nash Community. She married Ralph Roebuck in Waxahachie in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1991 after 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ben E. Lockett. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Gressett and her husband, Don of Kingwood, TX and Debbie Kelly and her husband, Dick of Crockett, TX; four grandchildren, Daniel and Elizabeth Kelly of Crockett, TX and Marc Gressett of Spring, TX and Jennifer Gressett of The Woodlands, TX and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 P. M. Sunday, October 5, 2003 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at the Forreston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
