Frank Bernard Lowry joined the Heavenly Father February 8, 2023. He was born January 22, 1964 to Delores and George Lowry, in Dallas, Texas. Frank grew up in Dallas, graduating from Hillcrest High School. He furthered his education, attending Liberty University with intention of obtaining a degree in Christian Counseling. Frank worked in retail for many years at Dollar General and Kroger, though his favorite job was Lowe’s. He was quiet, patriotic, direct with his opinions and fiercely loyal.
Frank had a deep, sharp intellect and was well read. He was especially touched by the works of Irish poet, William Butler Yeats. He enjoyed music from the 70s, the Science Fiction works of Star Trek and Starwars, John Wayne movies, and was a big fan of the television show Gunsmoke. Frank could often be found fishing, gaming, and constructing historic military models, though his favorite past time was taking his beloved dog Bridget to the lake.
He was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church, sang in the church choir and was a lay speaker at Bardwell Methodist Church. He also enjoyed membership in the National Rifle Association and Sons of American Veterans Post 23.
He is preceded in death by his parents George William Lowry and Deloris Jo Ennis; and his maternal grandfather Frank B. Lucchese.
Frank is survived by his siblings George Lowry Jr and wife Jan, Jason Lowry and wife Dawn, Bonnie Hamilton and husband Sean; nieces Sarah Burgess and husband Paul, Amelia Carr and husband Daren, Rowan Hamilton and Brenna Hamilton; and his step mother Frances Lowry.
Memorial Services will be held February 25, 2023 at 10:00am at First United Methodist Church in Ennis, Texas – 300 North Sherman Street with choir director James Montgomery and pastor Larry Jinks M.D. officiating.
