Gloria Lewis Woodard was born June 14, 1935, at Odessa, Texas, to F.F. Lewis and Edna Harraman Lewis. Gloria passed away on April 9, 2020.
In her lifetime, she enjoyed various hobbies: animals, gardening, traveling, and camping with her husband and children. Her husband and children were her life. Gloria was a past Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, on the board of the YMCA, where she was chairman of the Girls Soccer League. She was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member of Central Presbyterian Church, and a sustaining member of the Waxahachie Junior Service League. She worked at Nicholas P. Sims Library and concluded her 33-year career retiring as Assistant Director.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dorothy and husband Bruce Page of Odessa, her brother and his family, Leon Lewis, wife Thelma, and son Leroy of Odessa.
She is survived by her husband, Le Woodard of Waxahachie, and three children, daughter Lori Woodard of Waxahachie, Sons Zane Woodard of Reagor Springs, and Lane Woodard of Memphis, TN, granddaughter Ashley and great-granddaughter Gracie of Houston, and adopted daughter Kelly Larson of Waxahachie.
There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Gloria donated her body to Science at U.T. Southwestern in Dallas.
