Gregory Alan Risedorf, 55 years old, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 29, 2023 in DeSoto, Texas.
Greg was born on May 1, 1967 in Lexington, Kentucky to William and Sharon Risedorf. The family moved to Longmont when Greg was in first grade and he attended Burlington Elementary, Longmont Jr. High and Niwot High schools. After which , he enlisted in the United State Navy and served from 1986 to 1994 as a Seabee.
After being honorably discharged, Greg went on to work for several construction companies building his skills and ultimately finishing his career with the City of Thornton in 2016.
Greg is preceded in death by his father, William and his younger brother, Eric.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Risedorf, his children: Jessica (Jake) Anastos, Brittney Risedorf, Shawna Risedorf, Derek Risedorf, and two step-children: Casey Jo (Matt) Ozuna and Jordan Reasoner; as well as, his five grandchildren: Landon, Jaxon, Carson, Oakleigh and Charli.
He is, also, survived by his mother Sharon Risedorf, older brother Douglas, sister-in-law, Shanna Risedorf, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close relatives.
Some of Greg's many passions included classic cars (especially his '67 Mercury Cougar he restored himself and has owned since he was 17 years old) His charity work with "Frank's Ride for Children" as well as Moose Lodge Post 1548 where he served as Governor and in the Lodge's National Ritual Team.
Anyone who knew Greg will always remember his sharp-witted humor--He always left you smiling. He cooked a mean meal and loved to grow vegetables and his giant sunflowers in his garden. He loved to hunt, make his sausages and jerky and spend time with his family and his fur babies Duke and Peyton.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 323 Collyer St, Longmont, Colorado 80501. If you are unable to, personally, attend the Mass will be Live Broadcasted by St. Johns at the following link:

Immediately following the Mass, a family inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery where Greg with be laid to rest alongside his father and brother.
