Hazel Jo (Allen) Mitchell, age 97, passed Thursday, August 5, 2020. She was born February 3, 1923 in Lone Elm, Texas. In addition to running her own business for several years, Hazel worked at Motts Five and Dime and the Cotton Shop. She was a long time member of Brown Street Church of Christ and she always enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and sewing.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Linda Davis; grandchildren, Joshua Davis and wife Mary, and Joel Davis and wife Lauren; great-grandchildren, Berkley Davis, Charlotte Davis, Sean Davis, and Spencer Davis; sister, Bobby Griffin; and brother, Talmadge Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah (Eckeberger) and Vester Allen; husband, William Delbert Mitchell; brothers, Aaron Allen, Billy Allen, and Charles Harris; and son-in-law, John B. Davis.
