Henry Howard Peacock, lovingly known as Happy Hank, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to parents Henry Frederic Peacock and Mildred Ornita Brady Peacock.
At the Age of 9, Hank had already made up his mind that he was going to live in Texas, which he fulfilled in 1961. He played roller hockey and was a member of the 1966 U.S. National Roller Hockey teams. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, making him a true Texan. His most memorable achievement was walking the Great Wall of China at 70 years young. Along with that, he had his pilots license, was a Duncan Yo-Yo champion, and was Knighted by the Canadian Boy Scouts. Hank had his own company in advertising called Canadian Connection. He made regular appearances as an extra on Walker, Texas Ranger, witnessed one of the first Jet-pack test flights at DFW Airport, and was a member of the Lion’s Club since the 1960’s. Hank loved going to Church and visiting the Desoto Senior Center. When going to Church, denomination was not a stumbling block for Hank. He attended many denominational services in life.
Hank was a very lovable, caring, and God loving person. He never met a stranger and loved His family dearly. He talked to anyone & everyone and always carried his “multi-colored” pens which he handed out like candy. He always greeted people with “Greetings and Salutations” and said “Have a good decade,” when he left. He was proud of his Canadian roots but was VERY proud to be living in the U.S. His two vices were Pepsi and Chocolate which he enjoyed them right to the very end. He lived his life to the fullest and loved so deeply. He never said a cuss word and really lived up to his “Happy Hank” nickname.
Hank is survived by his daughters, Missy Cullum and husband Shawn, Barbara Grindstaff and husband Jon, and Cynthia Kelley and husband Kenneth, Grandchildren Michael Peacock and wife Jessica, Justin Cullum, Ashleigh Steele and husband Russell, Jr, Gene Yates II, Jeffrey Yates, Allison Moss and husband Dylan, Kenneth Kelley, Jr, and wife Rachel, Kimberly Bunch and husband Marcus, 13 Great-grandchildren Hunter Brooks, Daniel and Timothy Peacock, Kayleigh and Bailey Steele, Ashton Smith, Colton Ward-Yates, Landyn and Weston Moss, Lilah and McKenzie Bunch and Easton and Kade Kelley.
