Obituary for Irene Duran (Gonzalez)
Irene Duran went home to be with her heavenly father on January 20, 2022. She was born in Warwick, New York to Irene Rodriguez Gonzalez and Jose Luis Gonzalez. She grew up in Irving and Waxahachie, Texas. Irene married her high school sweetheart, Noe Duran; the couple have been married for twenty-two years. They had four children, Noah, Adam, Jacklyn and Rebecca. She loved being a stay-at-home mom, and will always be remembered as genuine, kindhearted and strong.
Known to many as “Nena”, she enjoyed spending time at the lake, running, listening to music, spending time with her family and gardening. Her favorite flower was the blue orchid. Ever faithful, most of all she enjoyed growing her relationship with God and studying the bible.
Irene is survived by her husband Noe Duran; children Noah, Adam, Jaclyn and Rebecca; sisters Hilda, Maria and Ana; brothers Alberto, Fernando, Jose and Alex; and her mother Irene.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Waxahachie. Funeral Services will follow at 12 PM with Christopher Ayala officiating.
Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
