James Leonard French passed away with his family in attendance at home at 7:00 PM on March 17, 2021. He was 100 years 1 month and 5 days young. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances “Mickie” French. They celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary on the 20th of February this year.

He is survived by his first son Robert N. French and wife Janet, his first daughter Marilyn Winters, his second son David H. French and wife Yvonne and by his beloved second daughter Connie A. Jones. He also has 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

He was an overseer of the Chimala Mission Hospital and School of Preacher Training in Tanzania East Africa and was affiliated with it from its beginning with Brother Andrew Connally since the late 1950’s.

He will be sorely missed by his family and by his vast Church of Christ family and friends.
