James Howard Newman was born on January 25, 1947 in Waxahachie, TX. He grew up here, mainly in the Baptist Home for Children, and he returned here to raise his own children. James worked at Texas Instruments for 40 years, and was an avid runner until his body would no longer allow it. He passed away on September 19, 2020, in Temple, TX, after a short battle with infection and sepsis. He joins his brothers Charles and Larry and sister Glenda in the afterlife. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Karen, his children Gretchen and Jacob, grandchildren Thaddeus, Parker, and Jackson, and brother Royce and sister Carol. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, and his many friends at the Lord's Gym, where he went every day he was able. We will all miss him terribly.
