Obituary for Jennifer Marie Burgess (Shealy)
Jennifer Marie Burgess (Shealy), of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away February 17, 2020 surrounded by family.
Jennifer was born in Miami, Florida on January 24, 1979. She is a 1997 graduate of Desoto High School. Jen was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother and friend. She loved to have fun and was full of joy. Her laugh was loud and contagious. She was spontaneous. She loved animals, all of them. Over her life, she had friends in lizards, chickens, rabbits, and horses. She often gave abandoned dogs and cats a home. She loved walking barefoot. She loved her mom’s ice cream and chocolate sauce. She loved country music and singing loudly. But Jen’s greatest pride and treasure were found in her children, Bella and Brady.
She is survived by her two precious children, Isabella and Brady Burgess, her parents, Paul and Susan Shealy of Waxahachie, Tx, her sister, Laura Minor and husband Gary Minor of Flower Mound, Tx, and her brother Steven Shealy and wife Kathy Shealy of Mildred, Tx, as well as her nephews and nieces: Justin, Macee and Madison Shealy, and Emma, Nathan and Molly Minor. She will be greatly missed by her loving fiancé, Travis Catalena.
