Obituary for Jessie Marie Zacek (Huey)
Jessie Marie Zacek, 90 of Ennis, passed away while holding her daughter’s hand on August 19, 2022.
Jessie was born July 30, 1932 to Marvin Jessie and Mattie Mildred Redmon Huey in Mansfield, Texas. She graduated from Mansfield High School, class of 1949.
She was proud to be known as Mother, Grandma and Granny-Grape.
Jessie was prominent in the founding of Glen Garden Baptist Church in Fort Worth. For the past six years she was a resident of Ennis Care Center where she could be found reading her Bible, playing bingo and working crossword puzzles. She was steadfast in her faith and would passionately tell anyone about her God. She knew exactly where she would be spending eternity after her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jo Rene Huey Snider.
Jessie is survived by her son, Jason and Jacque Seay; daughter, Amy Marie and John Hancock; grandchildren, Ashlei and Chase Patman, Bradley and Janson Davis, Mattie Jo Seay and Sammie Joe Seay; great-grandson, Culver Lewis Patman; great-granddaughters, Charlee Mae Patman and Effie Ray Davis; best friend and honorary daughter, SanJuanita “Janie” Sauzameda and her daughter Esme along with other relatives and many friends.
We would like to thank the staff at Ennis Care Center and Julie, Brooke and Chaplain Dave with Bristol Hospice for their love, care and compassion shown towards Jessie. And to Ashlei, Bradley and Janie for never leaving her side during these final days. Your love and support meant the world to her.
