Obituary for John Charles Hoggard
John Charles Hoggard passed away March 9, 2023. John was born in Waxahachie, Texas on October 19, 1939, to Lee Hoggard and Delia Elliott Hoggard. He was raised in Waxahachie where he was a Boy Scout, played basketball and baseball, and graduated in 1957. He attended Baylor University in Waco on a scholarship for basketball and graduated in 1962. After graduation he taught school and coached basketball in Richardson.
He owned a nursery in Kingwood and a landscape company in Fredericksburg. John is survived by his wife Barbara Dunlevy Hoggard; four children Robin Martinez and husband Hector, son in law; Marty Lowry, Carrie Lang and husband Bernie, John Russell Spisak and wife Michelle, Brian Joseph Spisak and wife Andrea; stepdaughters Ginger Shaw and husband Danny, Patti Campbell and husband RD, Pam Horton and husband Scott; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Lowry.
A visitation will be held March 25, 2023, at 10:00AM followed by service at 11:00AM at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas.
