(Alyce) Little of Tucson, AZ; and Rev. Timothy J. (Cherryl) Little, of Maypearl, TX

He married Shirley A. Baker on March 18, 1955. They enjoyed 67+ years of married life and blessings from God Almighty! John was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was loved by all.

John is survived by his wife Shirley A. Little. Together they had three sons, Daniel C. Little, Steven J. (Leigh) Little & David P. (Shelly) Little.

Professionally John enjoyed two Business Careers. The first included 25 years with Aero Space Firms as a Financial Analyst. His second career included 31 years as a Personal Financial Analyst, functioning in the areas of Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Financial Planning and Retirement planning. This accounts for 56 years of his Business Life.

John retired on March 28, 2011, on his 80th birthday. His interests included God, Church and Family.

He had three lifelong hobbies which were gardening, ranching & farming and music.

John had three brothers who were called into the ministry. John said he never did feel a particular call into the ministry. However, throughout the years he filled many positions in the churches he attended as Sunday School Teacher, Board Member and Church Treasurer. A primary importance to him was his music. He did consider he had a God given call into the world of music. He loved the steel guitar. His life consisted of playing in 19 church orchestras throughout the country. His musical ministry has been far reaching and touched many lives. His financial work caused he and Shirley to move all over the country; therefore, they attended many churches.

John was saved at the age of six in a tent meeting being conducted by his father, Evangelist Guy Little and his mother. His conversion was very dramatic and exciting. He commented that he was going to preach to his little four-year-old brother, Paul and get him saved; however, later that same night in the wee hours of the morning with a big dose of conviction, Paul told his mother and daddy he wanted to get saved. The folks prayed with him, and he gave his little heart to the Lord. So, John didn’t get to preach that next day. It is quite a reality that John’s parents had their two oldest sons saved in the same day. This was a life changing experience for John lasting until his date of death. John received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a teenager in Des Moines, Iowa.

To each of you here today he would admonish you if you have not already become acquainted with his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ, that you do so at once. He wants you all to be in Heaven with him where he is today
