Obituary for Jose Angel Salazar

Jose Angel Salazar, also known as “Chepitos el Hermoso”, passed away on December 30, 2020. He grew up in Waxahachie and attended Waxahachie High School. Jose was a very funny and charismatic person, very sincere, stubborn, and was always picking on kids and making people laugh. He was very friendly and made friends everywhere. Growing up he played baseball and enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. Picnics with his wife at Waxahachie Lake was a favorite passtime of his. He loved to watch scary movies, loved all kinds of music, and watching the news. Even though he had limited mobility in his body he enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. Jose married Patricia, his first love on August 2, 2019, at the Waxahachie Court House. They celebrated their marriage with a reception on August 3, 2019. His occupation was a beekeeper.

Jose is survived by his wife, Patricia Salazar; his daughter Marlena and her husband Jose Hernandez and their 2 children, Alex and Maxx; his daughter Myra Lucero and her partner GianKarlo Zuniga and her children Caylee, Mia, Angel, and soon to be born daughter Kamila; his daughter Angelica and her son Kenyon; his beloved mother, Emilia Salazar; his sister Lourdes Lopez and her husband Francisco Lopez, his brother David Salazar and his wife Arcie Salazar, his sister Mila Salazar, his brother Juan Salazar and his wife Erica Salazar, his sister Norma Salazar and her husband Julio Salazar, his sister Francis Lara; his grandmother Antonia Aguallo, several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, his faithful fur baby Betty Salazar; and his cousin whom he loved as a brother, Ivan Sifuentes and his wife Jazmin Ceja Lopez and their 3 children.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Leoncio Salazar.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 4, 2021 at Waxahachie City Cemetery.



José Angel Salazar, también conocido como "Chepitos el Hermoso", falleció el 30 de diciembre de 2020. Creció en Waxahachie y asistió a la Waxahachie High School. José era una persona muy divertida y carismática, muy sincera, testaruda, y siempre se burlaba de los niños y hacía reír a la gente. Era muy amable e hizo amigos en todas partes. En su juventud jugaba béisbol y le gustaba pasar tiempo afuera bajo el sol. Disfrutaba de picnics con su esposa Patricia en la Laguna de Waxahachie y también de salir a comer en los restaurantes. Le encantaba ver películas de miedo, amaba todo tipo de música y le gustaba ver las noticias en la televisión. A pesar de que tenía movilidad limitada en su cuerpo, él disfrutaba al máximo de su vida y de su familia. José se casó con Patricia quien fue su primer amor el 2 de agosto de 2019, en la Corte de Waxahachie. Celebraron su matrimonio con una recepción el 3 de agosto de 2019. Su ocupación era apicultor.

A José le sobrevive su esposa, Patricia Salazar; su hija Marlena y su esposo José Hernández y sus 2 hijos, Alex y Maxx; su hija Myra Lucero y su pareja GianKarlo Zuniga y sus hijos Caylee, Mia, Angel, y próximamente por nacer, Kamila; Angélica y su hijo Kenyon; su querida madre Emilia Salazar; su hermana Lourdes López y su esposo Francisco López, su hermano David Salazar y su esposa Arcie Salazar, su hermana Mila Salazar, su hermano Juan Salazar y su esposa Erica Salazar, su hermana Norma Salazar y su esposo Julio Salazar, su hermana Francis Lara, su abuelita Antonia Aguallo, varias sobrinas y sobrinos a quienes èl amó, su fiel mascota Betty Salazar; su primo a quien amaba como hermano, Iván Sifuentes y su esposa Jazmin Ceja López y sus 3 hijos.

Es precedido en la muerte por su padre, José Leoncio Salazar.

La visita para familiares y amigos será de 6-8 PM, domingo, 3 de enero de 2021 en Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home en Waxahachie, Texas.

Un servicio junto a la tumba se llevará a cabo a las 11 AM, el lunes 4 de enero de 2021 en el Cementerio de la Ciudad de Waxahachie.
