Obituary for Juan Francisco Rios, Sr.

Juan Francisco Rios Marines, age 60, of Frost, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was born on June 27, 1961, in Piedras Negras, Mexico. He was the son of Juan Rios Hernandez and María Luisa Talamantes Marines.

Juan grew up in Piedras Negras, Mexico and married his wife, María Angélica Ríos, on March 5, 1982 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. In 1989, Juan and Maria moved to Frost, Texas. He spent majority of his life as a labor by trade. He enjoyed fishing, raising chickens, and loved watching and supporting his children play extracurricular activities. His favorite song was “Un Día a la Vez,” by Los Tigres del Norte. His favorite food dishes were menudo, all kinds of seafood, and loved all types of mexican pastries. He embraced all life offered and took great pride in his family and was loved by so many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Rios Hernandez.

Juan is survived by wife, Maria Angelica Rios, three daughters and their spouses, Mayra and Lydia Ortiz, Linda Rios, and Diana Rios; and three sons and their spouses, Juan Francisco, Jr. and Amy Rios, Moiseis and Cecsily Rios, and David E. Ríos; his mother, María Luisa Talamantes Marines, three brothers, Jesus Rios Marines, Doroteo Reyes Marines, and José Manuel Ríos Marines; two sisters, Guadalupe Argelia Ríos Marines and Patricia Ríos Marines. He had four beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, KateLynn, Sophia, and Cecila Rios.

Revelation 21:4 says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away.”
