Obituary for Judith Smith
Judith Ann Smith was born December 2, 1955, to Hester (Ryan) and Bennie Rockett in Lancaster, Texas. She departed on January 28, 2023. Known as Judy, she resided in the areas of Lancaster, Red Oak, and Waxahachie. Judith retired from her long-term career with the Army Airforce Exchange, as an office manager. Judy was a loving mother to two children, Phillip and Amber; and a devoted grandmother to Madison, Kaylee, Carson and Cody.
Judy was funny, with a sense of humor that will be remembered by all of those around her. She had a huge heart, particularly for animals. She loved her dogs and cats, especially her dog Dixie. She delighted in treating Dixie to Sonic cheeseburgers. She could often be found painting and watching cooking shows.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hester Rockett.
Left to cherish Judy’s memory are her children Phillip Youngblood and Amber Michelle Smith Garcia; and grandchildren Madison Garcia, Kaylee Garcia, Carson Garcia, and Cody Youngblood.
Services will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas.
