Kay Shelley, age 73, passed on June 11, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born on February 13, 1947 in Houston, Texas to her parents, Lucy Mitchell and Ewin Taylor. After graduating from Regan High School in Houston, Texas, Kay went on to college at Stephen F. Austin. She pursued a career in the mortgage industry where she was everyone’s “first boss”. All her children followed in her footsteps. She retired from Texas Bank Mortgage in Ft. Worth. She was a member of the Social Sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening, sewing, quilting, and watching TV. Kay was an artist who loved to paint. She loved planning vacations for her family and created a life-time full of memories with her family. Kay was loved by everyone and she loved everyone as well. She will be forever remembered by so many.

Kay is survived by her children, Liz Bigham and husband John, Leigh Ford, and Mitchell Taylor Shelley and wife Brandi; grandchildren, Ewan, Ella, Nathan, and Taylor; and numerous other extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parent.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 10AM-12PM at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
