Lance, was everything his obituary said he was and so much more. I have not seen Lance in many years, but he was someone I grew up with and went to church at Farley Street. We went to school together all through WISD. I am very saddened that he is gone. However, I know now that his desire to walk was realized the moment he left this planet. He stands in the presence of Jesus and the Almighty God, walking, fully healed, with no more pain, no more sorrow. Randy and Vikki, my heart goes out to you and I know from Mom as well.

We have just been heartbroken since we heard of Lance’s passing this morning. It was just two weeks ago we were chatting online about his desire to get better and be back in full time ministry. I guess that’s exactly what he is doing worshiping his Savior 24/7 for eternity. Lance was a dear friend to be when I moved to Waxahachie and came to work at TBH. From lunches during with work week to playing with Journey and our evening walks in Indian Hills, Lance was a faithful friend. For my 24th birthday he and Paul took me and Mistie to Magic Time machine! Each year in the 18 years since I would message him on my birthday and tell him how they made that my favorite birthday ever! We have incredible memories of all of our singles escapades at Ferris Ave Baptist Church. I’ll never forget our road trip complete with a fly filled picnic at Palo Duro Canyon, dinner at the Big Texas Steakhouse, exploring historic Santa Fe and listening to incredible speakers at Glorieta for the National Singles Conference. We loved all our get together and especially the summer ones poolside at Randy and Vicki’s. I just have so many fabulous memories with Lance. I know the impact he made on his TBH kids and the families he shepherded as a Pastor were incredible. The impact won’t be seen until eternity. We love you, Lance Odom. I know you heard well done good and faithful servant this morning. We are praying for Randy, Vicki and Lindsey.
