Obituary for Lydia Luna (Trevino)

Lydia Trevino Luna entered the Kingdom of Heaven on March 21, 2023. She was born to Cruz and Jesus Trevino on December 22, 1959, in LaFeria, Texas. Lydia made her living as a lead seamstress for the Haggar Clothing Company where she was among those selected to construct the gold jackets for the NHL and Pro Football Hall of Fame. Lydia loved the Lord and ran the nursery at her local Assembly of God Church. A devoted wife she shared 50 love filled years with her beloved husband Lupe. Together they raised three children, Maria, Lolly and Isaiah. She was the most caring mother.

A spirited child, the family often laughs about the time she hit her sister on the head with a rolling pin when they were young. Her family share many memorable moments from helping Maria get ready for her wedding day and Isaiah climbing into her bed to talk after work even when he’d fall asleep. Lydia was always willing to lend a listening ear. She could often be found watching the movies Ever After and the Parent Trap or the Hallmark Channel. She celebrated every Dallas Cowboy’s win. Lydia was always ready to make a trip to South Padre Island or a stop at Buc-cees. Christmas time was extra special, and it was her birthday. Most of all she cherished her role as grandmother to Lilly and Azalea.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cruz Garcia Trevino and Jesus Guajardo Trevino.

Lydia is survived by her beloved husband Lupe Luna; daughters Maria Teresa Luna and Lolly McLeroy; son Isaiah James Luna; and granddaughters Lilly McLeroy and Azalea McLeroy.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2023, from 10:00am through 12:00pm. Services will be held following visitation at Noon.
