Obituary for Angie Contreras

Angie Contreras, 39, went to be with her heavenly father on November 2, 2022 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Denton, Texas on August 1, 1983. She grew up in Cleburne in her youth and moved to Waxahachie when she was 15 and made a life there. Angie found love young in her life when she met Rocky Contreras and they wed in 2013. Their relationship was their own that was full of happiness and love for each other, especially with the birth of her pride and joy, Mason.

Angie was one of the few people in life that knew what her professional destiny was at a young age. She was made to be a hairdresser. Not only because of the fact that she always loved making others feel good in their appearance, but also being a person for so many of us to privately confide in, provide a shoulder to cry on, and most importantly just feel better about yourself inside. She had the gift. For over 20 years, she was the embodiment of the hairstylist therapist for her clients and coworkers. She made everyone feel loved, wanted, and warm inside. There’s only thing she loved more than her dearest friends and that’s her son Mason. Mason was the light of her life and she was so proud of him in every way.

Angie is survived by her son, Mason Contreras; husband, Rocky Contreras; mother, Carleen Bennett; sister, Valorie Kelly; mother and father in law, Roque & Alicia Contreras; sister in law, Kristina Dennard; nephew, Jonathan Dennard; grandmother in law, Minnie (Wella) Luigo; nieces, Clara and Juliana; her other sisters, Julie, Heather, Lisa and Jess; her beloved dogs, Chiefy and Chaaya in addition to so many numerous relatives, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

We have all been touched with her kindness, wonderful outlook on life, and unforgettable precious memories. She is no longer with us in body, but she will forever continue to live through each and every one of us.
