Obituary for Mark Duane Howell
Mark D. Howell, age 54 of Waxahachie, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2020, at home with his family at his side. He was born August 10, 1965, in Corsicana, Texas, to Raymond and Martha (Mixon) Howell.
Mark grew up in Waxahachie and was a member of the 1983 graduating class. He played baseball as the Indian's catcher. He earned a scholarship to Texas Wesleyan University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Mark loved science and wanted to share that with others, so he became a teacher and coach. He taught Biology most recently at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Texas. He was a simple guy and loved to fish. He especially loved taking his mom and dad fishing. It was always an adventure.
To cherish his memory, Mark leaves behind parents, Raymond and Martha Howell, sons Hayden and Hunter Howell, brother Steve Howell and wife Jaye, sister Stephanie Jones and husband Ben, special friends Jennifer and Danny Vasquez and Bobby Dyke. Mark touched the lives of many and will be missed by all that knew him.
