Obituary for Frances Bryant

Mary Frances Bryant was born in Dallas on October 19, 1928, to Mary Cassandra and Luther D. Batson. She met the love of her life, Alvin Ray Bryant, when they both worked at Safewayin Dallas. The couple married on September 12, 1945, in Dallas at the home of her parents. Alvin and Frances raised two daughters, Patricia and Mary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvarado. Family was everything to Frances. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Frances loved animals and often talked about the pet donkey she had growing up. She retired from an accomplished career at LTV in Grand Prairie where she was the first female promoted to a foreman position. She loved to travel and spend time with family whether it be a long journey to Alaska or quick drive to an Oklahoma Casino. Ballroom dancing was a joyful passion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Bryant; daughter, Patricia Callen; sister, Beulah Woodard, and her parents, Mary and Luther.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, James and Mary Pearce of Alvarado; granddaughters, Erin Pearce of Alvarado and Heather Davis of Cleburne; sister, Ida Curry of Whitney; brother, Luther Batson of Red Oak, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family was everything to Frances. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvarado.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday, November 5, 2020 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Red Oak Cemetery.
