Mary Edith Hiett was born November 18, 1930 in Marianna, Arkansas to Sarah Amelia Mangold and Chester Doris Turner. She departed this life May 19, 2021 at her home in Waxahachie. Edith married Leon Hiett August 30, 1973 in Dallas. She volunteered at the Plano Herb Club as well as the Plano Heritage Farmstead Museum. Edith was a Master Gardener and was also a member of Eastern Star. She was a real estate broker with Ebby Holiday for a number of years.

Edith is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Leon Hiett, her children Sarah “Sunny” Letot and husband John Milligan and Daniel Hiett and wife Joyce, grandchildren Jennifer Hiett, Joshua Hiett and wife Heather, great-grandchild Nora Hiett and her good friend Caroline Perkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel.

A Graveside Service will follow at 12:00 PM at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Robert Richards officiating.
