Obituary for Mary M. Malone (White)

Mary Malone, 91, of Milford, Texas passed away March 13, 2020 @ Trinity Mission of Italy with her daughter by her side.

She was born November 3, 1928 in Johntown, Texas to Thomas Irvin White and Beulah (Watson) White.

After graduating from high school she was a telegraph operator for several years in Springfield, Mo. She also worked as a secretary in various offices throughout California and Texas. In 1973 she received her nursing degree and practiced for more than thirty years. Mary truly loved the nursing field, it was her ministry.

After retiring from nursing she enjoyed many indoor/outdoor activities. She loved to play dominoes, read, do crossword/jigsaw puzzles and last year added bingo to the list of activities! Her fondest times of retirement were spent traveling with her longtime companion Ed. While in Milford, she enjoyed having lunch with friends at the Milford Senior Citizens Center. Special thanks from the family to Anita, John, and Helen for always being such sweet, faithful friends to the end. Y’all could always put a smile on her face!

Mary is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Malone) Morgan and husband John of Italy, Grandchildren: Jessica (Morgan) Geft and husband Irvin of Dallas, April (Morgan) Mathers and husband Jody of Italy, Brian Morgan and wife Darla of Italy. Great-grandchildren: Barron and Bishop Geft, Adyson and Rhet Mathers, Hunter Morgan, Trent Morgan and Blake Chambers.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Malone, her mother, father, three brothers, and longtime companion Edward McGehee.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Milford Cemetery.
