Melanie Beth Richard left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2020 in Ennis, Texas. She was born on July 28, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to her parents, Buddy and Mary Garrison. She married the love of her life, Billy Don Richard, on May 21, 1984 in Arlington, Texas. She was a devoted member of Southpark Assembly of God Church, where she was the Sunday School Church Secretary. She enjoyed singing at her church, dancing, going to flea markets and she loved to eat. She was a loving woman who cared about people. She loved taking care of her husband and mother-in-law. Melanie was well loved at the Bluebonnet Park. She was a precious person who had the biggest heart and selflessly loved to share it. Her laugh would light up a room. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by so many.

Melanie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Billy Don Richard of Waxahachie; daughter, Lottie Richard of Sulphur Springs; mother-in-law, Bonnie Richard of Waxahachie; brother-in-law’s, Terry Richard, Bobby Richard and wife Jessica; brother, Dennis Garrison; nephews, Jacob Richard, Jarrod Richard, Justin Richard and wife Lindsey and Josh Richard and wife Cheryl; nieces, Lindsey Richard, Lauren Valez and numerous extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Lloyd Richard.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
