Michael Edward Maynard was born August 30, 1956 in Ohio to his parents, Dorothy (Mount) and Edward Maynard. He passed on July 13, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas. He graduated from Italy High. In his younger days, Mike was very athletic and full of energy. Michael was a loving and affectionate husband, father, and papaw. He loved to play pool and was a Dodge and Mopar fanatic. He was crazy about his grandchildren along with his puppy, Manny. Mike was a very political man who spoke his mind about politics and Christianity. He was dearly loved and will be missed.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 2 years, Kristin Maynard of Waxahachie; daughter, Lori Maynard and fiancé Sean Anderson of Waxahachie; three grandsons, Donovan Maynard, Kristian Harrell, and Fabian Eric Gonzalez; brothers, Bill Maynard and wife Rhonda of Waxahachie, Matt Maynard and wife Shannon of Waxahachie, Russell Maynard of Waxahachie; sisters, Yvonne Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Becky Sears and husband Kevin of Plano, Texas and numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Maynard and sister, Michele Miller.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Graveside services will be held at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Italy Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
