Mickie Sue Northcutt (Madre’), 58, of Ovilla, Texas passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2022 surrounded by her family after a short battle with Cancer.
Mickie was born on June 1, 1963 to Buford Wayne Morton and Myrtis Lynn in Dallas, Texas. Mickie was the youngest of five children with many fond memorable childhood stories growing up with her brothers, Gary, Kenny and Tommy.
Mickie was loving, sincere, devoted, strong willed, a tell it like it is kind of lady. That’s what we all loved about her the most. She had a passion for being outdoors. Some of her hobbies were crafting, decorating, collecting antiques, gardening, gambling and bird watching. But her favorite place to be was near water, whether it be at the beach or a lake. She was happiest when fishing, so many memories we have of her out fishing us every time. She could be very competitive.
Mickie and Andy attended High School together and were married July 31, 1994. They were overjoyed to welcome their only son Austin James in May 1995.
Mickie was preceded in death by her Father, Buford Wayne Morton, her nephew Brady Wayne Morton. her sweet Angel Sabrina Huggins, Austin’s sister. Also her dogs Zachary, Sissy and Scout.
She is survived by her loving husband Andy, son Austin, their precious dog LuLu. Her Mother Myrtis Lynn Bennett, and husband Mack. Brothers Gary, Kenny and Tommy. Her cousin Lisa Morton-Huggins, son and Austin’s brother C.W. Huggins. Sister-in-law, Stormy Northcutt-Fuller, husband Don and their son Skyler. Many other cousins, nieces and nephews, stepbrother, stepsister and countless friends she considered family.
At the families request in lieu of sending flowers they ask that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Hospital for children in Mickie’s name.
