Obituary for Norman "Bud" Hoop, Jr.

Norman Edward Hoop II lost his long battle with cancer on October 1st 2022 at the age of 72. He was born on February 14th 1950, at home in Mulberry Kansas, to Norman Hoop Sr. and Emma McCool. Those who knew him best knew him as “Bud”.He graduated from Deer Park high school in 1969 and attended East Carolina University. Norman was a proud Marine who served during the Vietnam war. (1970-1982). He was a determined hard worker with exceptional talents as a licensed general contractor.

Norman was happiest outside the city limits hunting, fishing and star gazing. Spending time with his grandkids and watching Trey’s soccer games were his favorite pastimes.

Norman was preceded in death by his son Norman Hoop III (Trey), grandson Joseph Hanes, parents, Norman Hoop and Emma McCool, and two brothers Carl Hoop and Michael Hoop.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Hoop and two grandchildren Jalia and Trey Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; his ex wife and best friend Connie Hoop of Arlington, Texas; sisters Linda Mutters of Broaddus, Texas and Janet Davenport of La Porte Texas; brother John Hoop of Vidor, Texas and numerous extended family members and close friends.
