Obituary for Pablo Benavides Jr.
Pablo Benavides, Jr was born on December 15, 1947 to Consuelo and Pablo Benavides, Sr in Littlefield, Texas. He entered the presence of the Heavenly Father on October 29, 2022. Though Pablo was born in Littlefield, he grew up in Maypearl and its surrounding areas. He married Ernestine Chavez on December 8, 1969. The couple enjoyed two children -Danny and Tina - nine grandchildren and 52 years together.
Pablo was hardworking and never shied away from a challenge; he had a bigger than life personality that filled a room just by walking into it. He was always ready to lend a hand. This hardworking and steady character is illustrated in his more than 30 year career with the City of Waxahachie’s Water Department.
He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, was a Dallas Cowboy’s fan; loved watching black and white westerns and listening to corridors music. Most of all Pablo, lovingly known to his grandchildren as Pop or Peepaw, looked forward to spending time with his beloved family.
Pablo is preceded in death by his parents Consuelo and Pablo Benavides, Sr, and brothers Pete Benavides and Baldimar Benavides.
He is survived by his wife Ernestine Benavides; children Danny Benavides and Tina Pandolfi; and grandchildren Jeremiah Benavides, Dylan Benavides, Christina Pandolfi, Elijah Benavides, Joseph Pandolfi, Abigail Pandolfi, Arianna Benavides, Nicholas Pandolfi, and Patrick Pandolfi.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm, at the Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas. Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas.
