Obituary for Pamela Nix Corley Caldwell
Pamela “Pam” Nix Corley Caldwell, 72, of Waxahachie, Texas, peacefully passed away on November 11, 2022. Pam was born in Dallas, Texas on May 29, 1950 to Calvin Nix and Dochia (Lawrence) Nix. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1968. She owned and operated Corley Gasket Company in Dallas, Texas.
Pam married Dennis Rance Corley on September 1, 1973. To this union, two children were born. After Pam was widowed in 1987, she and her children moved from Dallas to Italy, Texas.
On August 21, 2003, Pam married her love and best friend, Mark Caldwell. They experienced a unique, fairytale love. They were able to enjoy the happily ever after she so richly deserved. They made their home in Waxahachie, Texas.
Pam had a giving heart, full of love and compassion. She fiercely loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She spent endless hours being “G” to her grandchildren.

She took pride in her many, many friends from all walks of life. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved.
Pam loved to cook and bake. So many memorable times, laughter and conversations happened in her kitchen, which she often referred to as her meeting room. She spent countless hours at cemeteries cleaning them up and restoring headstones. She was also passionate about genealogy, tracing her lineage back several generations.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Dochia and her late husband, Dennis.
Those who will continue to cherish and carry on her memories include her husband, Mark Caldwell of Waxahachie, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Kelly Corley of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Ana Harwell of Maypearl Texas; two brothers, Ken Nix and wife, Bev Barr of Waxahachie, Texas; Alan and Patricia Nix of Terrell, Texas; sister, Allison Marshall and husband, Mark Plowman of Taylor, Texas; grandchildren Brandon Corley, Bryan Corley, Brooklyn Corley, Clair Readyhough, Brayden Jones, Ben Readyhough, Addyson Harwell, June Corley and Jackson Harwell; great-grandson, Elias Corley; many cousins, nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
