Obituary for Pat Petty
Patsy "Pat" Jean Petty was born on November 17, 1930 in Italy, TX to Rosalee and Travis King. She passed away at the age of 90 on December 23, 2020, at her home.
Pat was a native of Italy, TX and graduated from Italy High School in 1948. Pat moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 1952, where she raised her son and daughter. She was a bookkeeper for Dr. Irvine, a local pathologist. After retiring, she returned to Italy where she lived her remaining years.
One of Pat's many joys was continuing her lifelong friendships she created from school. Pat was a strong Christian woman who never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. Pat loved sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Pat was a sweet, kind and independent woman, and will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Pat was survived by her daughter, Debbie Crane and husband Rick; grandchildren; Shanda Keating and husband Chris, Ryan Petty and wife Breanna, Laura Flynn and husband Brian, Stacey Rodriguez and husband Jeremy, Chelsea Ruybalid; great grandchildren, Claire and Cate Keating, Kassidy Petty, Brady and Laney Cook, Meghan and Maggie Flynn, Cooper and Lyla Rodriguez; nephew, John Higdon and family.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Rosalee and Travis King; sister, Jo Ann Higdon, her son, Randy Petty, and niece, Amy Higdon Benoit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Central Baptist Church, Italy, TX.
