Obituary for Pedro Pinon

Pedro Pinon was born on August 7, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico to Cresencio and Gavina (Flores) Piñon.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Estela Piñon; children, Heidi Marie Serrano and husband Samuel, Peter Efrain Piñon and wife Lindsay, Estela Jessica Currid and husband Dominic; grandchildren, Sammy, Jude, Ben, Micah, Levi, Paxton, Piers, Lela and Pace.

Pedro’s highest calling was to be a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a loving brother and pillar for his siblings: Ester Moreno, Elena Vasquez, Daniel Piñon, Rufina Guerrero, Anita Martinez, Lucy Castillo, and Catalina Morton. He was also a faithful pastor for over 40 years pastoring 4 different Texas churches.

He was dedicated to serving his community as a member of University Church, a Building Inspector for the City of Waxahachie, a board member at FirstLook Clinic, and an active member of the Ellis County Republican Party.

In his spare time, he enjoyed studying the Bible, writing poetry, gardening as a Master Gardener, finding hidden treasures to transform into works of art, and, most of all, playing with his grandchildren.

A Celebration Service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Oaks Church in Red Oak.
