Obituary for Peggy Jo Blair (Jenkins)

Peggy Jo Blair passed on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. She was born March 2, 1930 in Waxahachie, Texas to Anna (Coker) and Walter Jenkins. Peggy graduated from Avalon High School, where she played basketball and was queen of her graduating class. She worked in insurance and was the owner and operator of The Blair Shop located in downtown Waxahachie for 50 years. Peggy was a hard worker who loved working, gardening, music and especially loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and loved being with her grandchildren. Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School class. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Ann Cheree Fiedler and husband Jack, Peggy Lee Hunter and husband David; grandchildren, Jack Lee Fiedler, Jr., Jennifer Ann Fiedler, Jeffrey Nathan Hunter and wife Michelle, Jason Neal Hunter; great-grandchildren, Hallie, Emma and Will; brother, Happy Jenkins and wife Linda and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Nathan Loyd Blair, Jr.; brother, W.A. Jenkins, Jr. and sister-n-law, Mary Alice Jenkins.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 2 PM Sunday, July 26, 2020 in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 3 PM. Interment will be at Hillcrest Burial Park

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s in Peggy’s honor.
