Obituary for Richard Hammett Thomas Sr.
Richard Hammett Thomas, age 71, passed on August 22, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. He was born April 13, 1949 in Dallas to his parents, Lois Avin and Jack Thomas. Richard was an Army Veteran. He was a homebody who enjoyed sitting in his barn, yard work, listening to classic rock. He also enjoyed golfing and camping but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Debbie Thomas; children, Richard Thomas, Jr., James Wesley Stackowicz and wife Jennifer, Jannifer Grier, Jonathan Walker and wife Brandi; grandchildren, Bailey, Zach, Ryan, Alic, Teagahn, Reed, and Lola; brother, Jack C. Thomas and wife Suzie and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael Thomas and Jerry Thomas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 6-8 PM at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 West Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.
